About the Role:

Position: Bronson Battle Creek Unit Coordinator for the NeuroVascular Unit 10N Sign-On Bonus Available

Under the guidance of unit managers and directors, the unit coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering leadership and clinical collaboration among staff, physicians, and management. Acting as a role model, mentor, and coach, the coordinator ensures adherence to unit standards and cultivates a cohesive team environment. Responsibilities include supporting staffing needs, maintaining a safe care environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 2 years of clinical experience (Master's degree preferred)
  • Previous management or leadership experience desired
  • Valid Registered Nurse license in Michigan
  • Advanced Nursing Specific Certification preferred
  • Proficiency in communication, organization, and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Competency in relevant software applications
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality assessment
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring alertness, concentration, and occasional heavy lifting

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day unit operations, including patient assignments and staff scheduling.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed to meet unit needs.
  • Facilitate staff participation in organizational meetings and committees.
  • Collaborate with management to project staffing needs and create staffing plans.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and supervision to unit personnel.
  • Evaluate staff performance and facilitate peer input for evaluation.
  • Communicate staff behavior and performance issues to management and participate in disciplinary processes.
  • Support recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and creativity.
